MISSION STATEMENT

THE MISSION OF THE LAOS ALOHA ORGANIZATION IS TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF THE LAOS PEOPLE BY PROVIDING RESOURCES FOR BASIC EDUCATION BY ACCEPTING GRANTS AND DONATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SCHOOLS AND LIBRARIES, AS WELL AS THE DISTRIBUTION OF BOOKS, NOTEBOOKS AND WRITING MATERIALS TO THOSE EAGER TO LEARN BUT WITHOUT SUFFICIENT OPPORTUNITES TO DO SO.

Great news for Laos Aloha Organization. We are sponsoring our 1st book publishing effort in Laos. The book is called "Sweet From Flowers" and info is available @ www.bigbrothermouse.com

Our 1st trip was a great success!

Thank you to our new friends at Big Brother Mouse who helped us bring books to children in the remote village of Nam Khan. We hope to continue working with them in the future, including publishing books in the Laos language.

Mahalo nui loa to the teachers and students at King Kaumuali'i elementary school for donating books. We brought them to Lap Sik village, and many of the kids had their first ever experience with books. It was awesome! We plan on returning to Lap Sik and working with the school in order to establish a library in April 2010.

Our success is thanks to you. Please continue to donate. Donations can be a great alternative to holiday gifts. Give the children of Laos a chance to learn. Books & school supplies can be mailed to : Laos Aloha Organization, PO Box 426 Hanamaulu, Hi 96715

Mahalo for supporting Laos Aloha organization.

Our 1st fundraiser was a great success. Thanks to the wonderful musicians, volunteers and supporters, we raised $1800 and recieved numerous boxes of used books.

We will be leaving October 9th for our 1st delivery! We land in Bankok October 11th, and hope to make it to Luang Prabang by the 15th. Then it's off to Khmu village.

Please continue to support Laos Aloha Organization in any way you can.

We'll share pictures and stories of our trip when we return on October 25th. Aloha :)

Donations can be dropped off at our office on Kauai. Please call (808) 652-9431 or email ken@laosaloha.org to make arrangements.

Sending learning materials from the United States is extremely costly. We hope to raise enough funds to purchase items in Thailand and ship them to Laos, as this will be much more cost effective.
